It's St Piran's Day. We are all thinking about many matters concerning Cornwall. I walked to St Piran's church, to the old cross from the Oratory in the dunes. There was no special service for the day - we are still in lockdown. It was only open for private prayers. This church is lovely - made with huge old stones from the old church in the dunes. They are encrusted with lichens. There was no procession today nor any play about the saint. However, in the evening I watched a video-conference, Cornish World. There were talks on the Cornish Diaspora, the Atlantic Arc, pagan and witchcraft beliefs, Cornish prisoners of war in France, a plans for publication of all Cornish language writings.
