There were boards with notices by the church in the week gone by. No parking would be allowed by the church on Sunday, because of the Remembrance Parade. On Armistice Day, there was only one small cross with a poppy on the war memorial. But, on Remembrance Sunday, after the parade, there are lots of wreaths with lots of red poppies. There are little crosses on the graves as well. They are not real flowers, and they are not sweet flowers like in Pete Seeger's song. But we remember the sons and the soldiers.
