In normal times, there are children's entertainments near to Christmas. Children go to see Father Christmas and his elves in a grotto. They go to a theatre to see a play. Hansel and Gretel is a popular story. Two children are lost in a forest and they find a house made of gingerbread. It is a witch's house. She turns children into gingerbread. Hansel and Gretel are trapped, but they trick the witch. Gretel shoves the witch into her own oven. The magic is broken. They escape and save all the other children.
